Apartamentos Principe Pio is a modern seven-storey aparthotel situated in Madrid city centre opposite the Royal Palace. The 56 studios and apartments are simply decorated with functional furnishing; all are air- conditioned and have a kitchenette with refrigerator, hob and microwave oven. Apartments have a separate bedroom and living area and all rooms have satellite TV and direct-dial phones.
Multilingual staff at the 24- hour front desk can provide advice and information on the hotel and the local area. Breakfast is available in the morning (surcharge) and the hotel offers laundry and dry cleaning services. There is also an underground parking garage (14 EUR per night). Although there is no restaurant on site, there are plenty of dining options in the surrounding area and many of Madrid's tourist attractions are close by: Plaza Espana, the Plaza Mayor and the Puerta del Sol are all within a kilometre. Alternatively guests can head for the Casa de Campo, Madrid's main park, and escape the city heat. The airport is just over 11 miles (18 kilometres) away, approximately a twenty-minute drive.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
Frequent underground metro services connect the airport with Madrid city centre. Guests should take the metro to either Plaza Espana or Principe Pio station, both within 500 metres of the hotel. Taxis are available at the airport and the typical fare is approximately 15 EUR.
From the airport take the A2 following signs to the city centre. Take the M30 heading south towards the A4. Exit A4 at Plaza de Espana.
