Newly opened in 2005, the Petit Palace Posada del Peine is a contemporary design hotel set in an historic building dating from 1610 and located by the east gate of Madrid's Plaza Mayor, right in the centre of the city. DRIVING DIRECTIONS
Frequent underground metro services connect the airport with Madrid city centre. Taxis are available from the airport and the blue airport bus departs every 15 minutes for the underground bus terminal at Plaza de Colón in central Madrid. Madrid's extensive metro and public bus systems provide an efficient and cheap way of getting around the city. The nearest metro station is Sol (red line 2), 200 metres away. Taxis are moderately priced and can be hailed in the street.
